Blue Line utilises the latest technology to speed up its services and offer reliability and flexibility. We have various systems in place to ensure fast, efficient service:
- Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

- this reduces phone waiting time by answering calls with an automated service. You can now book a taxi without even speaking to an operator. This system operates at any time, though should you wish to speak to an operator, you simply press the ‘0’ key.
- Evo cab system

- is our advanced fleet management system, combining all the various elements and ordering types into one system to oversee all of our vehicles. In using this system we see exactly where each vehicle is on our network. With every vehicle fitted with GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology and a link to the network, we can dispatch the nearest taxi to you and, no matter where you wish to go, the best route will be planned out in advance. In the case of any emergency, the taxi can be located immediately by our operators and any assistance dispatched.

- after you have ordered your taxi, it will be dispatched to your location. On dispatch you will receive a SMS text message with a unique reference code and your drivers ‘call sign’. This is to ensure, for your safety, you enter the correct vehicle and that it is fully licensed. The service also prevents you from missing your taxi because you did not hear it arriving. On arrival you will receive a text message informing you that your taxi waits outside. Another plus is that you may wait comfortably indoors as opposed to being on a cold rainy street. Please note there is a charge to use text back which will be billed to your mobile phone this is typically 25p but prices may vary.
- Call back

- ask for call back when phoning your order and your home phone or mobile will ring to let you know when your vehicle awaits.
- Satellite tracking on all vehicles

- We are able to track all of our vehicles using the latest technology available. In Knowing where our vehicles are at any given time means we can always give you a realistic time of arrival.
Summary
Since 1994, Blue Line have utilized the very latest state of the art Mobile Data System, comprising a fully computer assisted booking system with mobile ‘data heads’ fitted in every vehicle. This ensures that, within seconds of booking details being completed and there being a free vehicle in the required area, the driver receives all necessary details on a visual display. This ‘no voice transmission’ method ensures that no third parties may listen in to who you are, where you are, or when you are leaving, or intend to leave your home or company premises.
