We would like to say a huge 'Well Done!' to everyone involved with the recent journeys we provided for the Confederation of British Industry, transporting both the Japanese Ambassador and Alexander Armstrong - comedian, actor, television and radio presenter.
FEEDBACK FROM CBI: "As you know it was the most important day of our CBI annual event calendar, and getting the logistics right were vital to its success. Your team of drivers who looked after us throughout the day were incredibly professional, as well as patient, gracious and understanding. A special mention to Joe Bird as well. He was a superstar."

The annual PHTM Expo was held once again last week in Milton Keynes – a fantastic opportunity for operators, drivers and third-party exhibitors to get together and share their thoughts, insights and questions.
This year, one topic of discussion amongst well-seasoned taxi professionals was in-car CCTV, given that taxi and minicab drivers in England and Wales could be obliged to install CCTV in their vehicles under government proposals to tighten up licensing laws.
A nationwide review of taxi and private hire vehicle licensing was conducted last September and called for CCTV in all cabs, which it argued would deter abuse of drivers, fare evasion and protecting passengers, as well as helping operators and law enforcement dealing with incidents more efficiently.
- Don't buy the cheapest in-car CCTV device on the market - often there are issues with corruption of SD cards.
- Opt for a SD card with large storage with the ability to store the maximum amount of footage possible.
- Consult your licencing authority for their legislation - i.e. the requirements of in-car notices to inform the passenger that CCTV is installed.
