You have probably heard our latest advertising campaign on Metro Radio its a fact if you have a group of friends three or more to share the cost of a taxi it works out cheaper than public transport on some routes. Better still Blueline Taxis offer a door to door service 24 hours a day that can work out cheaper than public transport, and it is safer. Here are some of the taxi costs that we have worked out for you:

  • Byker to Wallsend about £4 the metro for 4 adults costs £8.40
  • Longbenton to Jesmond about £5 the metro for 4 adults costs £8.40
  • Shiremoor to Newcastle about £12
  • Newcastle to Longbenton about £7
  • Newcastle to Bensham from £3
  • Heaton to Newcastle about £7
  • Newcastle to Heworth about £6 the metro for 4 adults costs £8.40
  • Gosforth to Jesmond about £4 the metro for 4 adults costs £8.40

I was recently asked to air my views and beliefs on the situation that faces us all, on the issue of ‘out of area’ Hackney Carriages working as private hire within Newcastle and beyond.

Many of you may think you know ALL about the situation, and what has gone on before, and how we are present position, and as one of the people accused of bringing this situation to light I take this opportunity to put my story forward.
